When you sign a lease through Qasa AS, you as a landlord are automatically covered by a rental insurance from our partner Tryg Forsikring – at no extra cost.
The rental insurance covers financial loss if the tenant breaches the lease:
Unpaid rent – lost rent including interest, fees and agreed additional costs, up to 6 months’ rent per tenancy.
Eviction – reasonable and necessary costs, including legal assistance, up to NOK 25,000.
Damage to the home – damage the tenant is responsible for under the Norwegian Tenancy Act, up to NOK 250,000 per claim. The amount must be determined by a legally binding decision or approved in writing by the tenant.
The insurance does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or improvements. The deductible is one month’s rent, or three months’ rent for unpaid rent. Any deposit or guarantee is deducted first.
